Day 227 Wonky Wednesday

My day felt a little topsy-turvey today, as I had the morning of work to write an exam for Microsoft. I passed the exam, and I am now eligible for a bonus from work :) Once I put in my afternoon at work, I came home, had dinner, took a movie back and went for (almost) an hour's run. I'm so happy.... I beat my time from Monday!!! I did 4 miles in 56 minutes, when Monday I could only do 3.6 miles in 55 minutes.... (insert happy dance here) :) I don't know how I managed to do it, but I really pushed myself, running most of the session at a 14 minute/hour pace, with an average treadmill speed of 4.8. I did have to slow it down a little bit to a treadmill speed betwen 3.5 and 4.0, when I started to get tired.


What I had to eat today:

Breakfast: Rolled Oats and Applesauce (4 pts)
Snack: Applesauce (1 pt)
Lunch: Honey Bourbon Chicken Sub from Quizno's (8 pts)
Snack: Ccarrots -- 2 cups (2 pts)
Dinner: Butternut Squash Soup (2 pts) and half of a whole wheat bagel (2 1/2 points)
Total: 19.5 pts

Day 226 Totally Painful Tuesday...

I should have known I would be stiff today when I had to logroll Rob to get out of bed this morning.... LOL I didn't work out this morning, and ended up sleeping in, so I did not get to have a nice relaxing, hot shower. As the day went on, it seemed that my nemesis at work was staircases. I lost count of how many times I went up one to three flights of stairs. And believe it or not, going DOWN the stairs was more painful. As a result of my 7.6 mile running odyssey yesterday, I have muscle groups I forgot I had screaming at me, and not in a good way ;) When I got home this evening, I tried to get through Cardio Party 2. Unfortunately, I packed in the towel after the Turbo Boost , as I couldn't handle the muscle pain anymore... my kicks after the Turbo Boost were pathetic, because it was getting too painful to kick properly. The good thing was, I made it through the 6 minute kicking segment without crying!! After making it through part of Cardio Party 2, I can see where some of the routine from Cardio Party Remix comes from... surprisingly, my coordination wasn't even that bad!!


What I had to eat today:

Breakfast: Rolled Oats and Applesauce (4 pts)
Snack: Applesauce (1 pt)
Lunch: Veggie Lasagna (5 pts)
Snack: Mandarin Oranges (2 pts), carrots -- 2 cups (2 pts)
Dinner: Butternut Squash Soup (2 pts) and half of a whole wheat bagel (2 1/2 points)
Total: 18.5 pts

Day 225 Monday Monday.... I heart running

The alarm went off at 6:00 this morning, and I did not want to get out of bed.. I seriously considered bailing, but I would get so mad at myself once I was awake, and Rob told me I'd feel better once I got on the treadmill... and he was right!! :) Her's this morning's results:

I ran for 55 minutes, burned 766.5 calories burned and covered 3.60 miles with a 4.3 miles/hour pace.


What I had to eat today:

Breakfast: Rolled Oats and Applesauce (4 pts)
Snack: V8 (1 1/2 points)
Lunch: Chicken Sub (7 pts)
Snack: Mandarin Oranges (2 pts)

Dinner: Sushi (6 pts)
Total: 20.5 pts


I ran again tonight, and Rob advised me to just run 4 miles, no matter how long it took. I felt my stamina come and go, but I managed to do my run in 61 minutes, burned 782 calories, covered 4.0 miles. When I was done, I was so done.. done like dinner!! LOL Now, as I sit here watching TV and writing my blog, I'm starting to stiffen up, and in more places than just my legs. Ah, it's a good sore!! :)
